It was confirmed during past Nintendo Directs that The story of the symphony, one of the most beloved installments in the series, is getting a remaster for modern consoles and PC. Many people are happy with this announcement. However, as more information is known, Public opinion has taken a 180° turn.
It was announced a few days ago of remastering The story of the symphony Will run at 30fps on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Despite Bandai Namco promising visual and gameplay improvements, this release was not well liked by fans, who noted that the original Gamecube release that hit the market nearly 20 years ago ran at 60fps. On ResetEra, the public made their displeasure clear:
“Why are you upset?”
“Why can’t a 60fps GameCube game run at 60fps on Switch, let alone Xbox Series X/PS5?”
“Honestly, no one wanted it.”
For its part, Bandai Namco has not revealed what improvements will be made in this remaster, something that many have wanted to know, considering the community’s living conditions. We can only wait and see what happens in this case.
Remastering of The story of the symphony It will come to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC in 2023. On a related note, you can learn more about this release here.
Editor’s note:
Considering the HD ports for PC and PS3 also run at 30fps, it sounds odd that the only console where The story of the symphony It is capable of running at 60fps on the GameCube. Although mods will offer a solution, it seems console users will have to deal with it.
