Fairytale helmer Ana Miguel has announced that she is leaving Playground Games in August and that a “heroically talented team” will continue working on the long-awaited reboot.
Magill became Narrative Lead at Fable in July 2022 and has been with Playground Games since February 2021 when he joined the team as Lead Writer at Fable. Working on Fairy Tales was a “dream come true” for him, and when he announced his departure, he had only positive things to say.
“My friends, I have news,” wrote Miguel. Twitter. This August, I am retiring from the role of narrator of fairy tales. I’ve spent several wonderful years doodling around Fairy Tail Cottage, but it’s time for a new challenge.
“Working on Fiction was a dream come true for me and it hurts me to leave it behind. But Playground has assembled a valiantly talented team, so I know they’re in good hands. I’m excited for what’s next for her and me.” “
Shortly after his announcement, he addressed those who felt “stupid” and immediately assumed there was something wrong with Fable or that his departure from the studio was something unkind.
“Some people act silly, so let me get this straight: I reached a good breakpoint to start the project and I did.” said Miguel. “And I’ve decided to take a break before I start my next gig. This is the end. I have nothing but love and respect for the playground and my friends there.
