Like other manufacturers, Google has repeatedly prioritized glossy casings in recent years. But with the Pixel 8 Pro, this time there will be a device with a matte black back. The photos should now be able to prove it.
Once again, the photos show (via Google_nws) is a prototype from Google, which again comes from Vietnam. Google manufactures its Pixel smartphones there, and over the years there have been significant gaps around prototypes of new devices.
And so we finally know today that the Pixel 8 Pro in “Obsidian” will have a matte black back.
This color is not entirely coincidental, because the Pixel 8 Pro will inherit the color of the Pixel Fold and, as is well known, it was already available with a matte back.
