Since the release of the 2021 model, Amazon’s latest generation Paperwhite has been hard to find, even though it doesn’t represent a dramatic advance in terms of features. And it still holds An IPX8 rating for complete resistance to water immersion, plus a clear 6-inch display with 300ppi resolution and support for audiobooks that can be listened to via Bluetooth headphones. The new Paperwhite has a bigger screen and better backlighting — not to mention wireless charging when you’re using it. Choose the 32GB Signature Edition — but it rarely drops below $100, even when it’s on sale. The real travesty is that the 10th-gen Paperwhite only offers 8GB of storage in the base configuration and uses micro-USB instead of USB-C for charging, which seems wrong even in 2018.
