Stranger Things A series that introduced more characters without a new season, which is problematic when considering the scale of this story. Thus, and to some people’s dismay, it was confirmed Argyle, Jonathan’s friendly friend who debuted in season four, will not return in the finale Stranger Things.
In an interview with Steve Varley, Eduardo Franco, the actor who plays Argyle in the series, revealed that she has not been approached by Netflix to reprise her role for the fifth and final season. While some might argue that there’s still time to see him back on screen, production on the series has already begun, meaning the story and script are already defined, so adding Argyle unexpectedly doesn’t seem possible. This actor commented:
“They never called me, so I guess that’s it.”
This is normal for many series though, as once a character’s importance ends, they are usually dropped Stranger Things It is a strange case. The Netflix series is characterized by maintaining a fairly large group, and no matter the size of their roles, they always make at least one appearance. Even characters who die, or at least are presumed dead, get some form of screen time again.
This may well be the case with Eddie Munson, played by Joseph Quinnwho won the hearts of the masses in its fourth season Stranger Things. While everything seems to indicate that this character is dead, rumors have indicated that we will see him again in some form or another. So everyone can come back… except Argyll.
There’s no release date at the moment, though Its fifth and final season Stranger Things Come to Netflix in the future. Relatedly, there’s already a prequel Stranger Things Starring Eddie Munson. Similarly, the fifth season will be the longest.

Argyle is a supporting character that serves his purpose, and that’s fine. There’s no need to rewatch it, especially considering the final season will be an emotional ride focused on the primary characters. Shame on his fans, but it’s not a significant loss.
