Presentation at CES 2023?
The Asus ROG Zephyrus M16 2023 is shown in a first image Asus is likely to equip the upcoming gaming notebook with an Intel Raptor Lake CPU and an Nvidia RTX 4000 GPU. In terms of design, however, there will be little change compared to its predecessor.
In early 2023, CES 2023 will be held in Las Vegas, which means some new announcements are imminent. Traditionally, Asus always presents the new generation of ROG Zephyrus M16 gaming notebook (review) as part of the event. Now the upcoming 2023 model is already showing itself in a first leak of Twitter user @harukaze5719 has released an image in which the notebook can already be seen. It’s clear from the image that Asus won’t make any major changes to the design. Accordingly, the familiar slim case with keyboard and large touchpad awaits us here.
As a screen there must be one 15.6 inch IPS panel in 16:10 format, with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 pixels. In addition, the refresh rate must be at least 165 Hz Another highlight of the false predecessor was the extremely high display-to-body ratio of 94 percent. Unfortunately, the manufacturer doesn’t seem to have changed the cooling design much, which means hot air flows directly to the screen as well. This was a strong criticism of this year’s model.
However, the camera module is said to have been modified for this. At least in direct comparison with the predecessor, the new camera module becomes obvious. However, it is not clear how much the quality will change. The potential hardware inside is much more exciting. Here, Asus can rely on a current 13th generation Intel Core processor (test: i9-13900K and i7-13700K). Nvidia’s RTX 4000 series will probably have a GPU.
