Get ready for a nostalgic arcade experience: Atari announced “Berzarok: Recharged“, the latest entry in their popular Recharged series. Starting November 9th, players can once again fight their way through the dangerous maze controlled by Evil Auto.
Legacy of Berzarok: For those who don’t know, the original Berzerk, from the 80s, was a revolutionary multi-directional top-down shooter. Players had to defend themselves from an army of robots and escape from Evil Auto, an indestructible, jumping smiley character.
What’s new in Berzerk: Recharge?
- Revamped graphics that let the classic shine in a new light.
- An intuitive twin-stick control system.
- A brand new soundtrack by Megan McDuffie.
- Speech Synthesis – A feature that made the original Berzerk famous returns, enriching gameplay with robotic dialogue.
For retro fans, Atari brings “Berzerk Advanced Edition“, an updated version of the classic in a 2600 cartridge. This new version will be alongside the new one Atari 2600+ is released, a faithful replica of the first successful home game console. Both items will be available from November 17.
Berzerk: Recharged is developed by Sneakybox and will be released on November 9th for Windows PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Atari VCS. More details are available Official website can be seen
