After a year of stagnation, Samsung wants to make a giant leap in the display of the Galaxy S24 series.
The first information about this was available a few weeks ago and the matter has now apparently been confirmed by other sources. Another rumor in smartphone industry circles talks about a massive update to the internal displays we’ll be getting in the Galaxy S24 series. They are brilliant and technically sound.
Samsung will likely integrate a very new generation of its OLED panels in all three S24 models. It comes with a remarkably high peak brightness of 2,500 nits. A good value, it will have a particularly positive effect outdoors and may also have visual benefits for HDR content.
But then LTPO technology will be integrated in all three S24 models. LTPO implies complete flexibility in frame rates, which can vary from 1 to 120 Hz. Expensive features will likely no longer be available only on the Ultra model.
Google recently installed a major display update on its latest generation smartphones and now Samsung will do the same again after a year of hiatus. This is also necessary because the competition (Xiaomi 13 Ultra) has long recognized what is important here and has already presented top results.
