More coronavirus movie delays coming soon?
While the major theater chains like AMC, Regal, and Cinemark have started opening theaters in many parts of the US, some cities and states have ordered theaters to remain closed. That includes New York, North Carolina, and most parts of California, which have the most theaters in the country. Therefore, we could still see more delays of movies in the coming months, as some studios may not want to open their films without the support of the major movie theater locations.
Furthermore, other films that were in production for release later in 2020 or in 2021 have suspended production as well. It’s likely some of their release dates will be changed as well. We’ll be sure to update this post to keep you up to date.
