Boku no Natsuyasumi 2The translation of which means My summer vacation 2A sequel to Cold Simulation Game, Boku no Natsuyasumi. The game follows Boku on summer vacation with his family in the countryside, where he spends time fishing, collecting stag beetles, and making new friends. The game was originally released on the PlayStation 2 in 2002, but never received an English translation. Up Hilltop, a Canadian YouTuber, is “on a mission to bring underrated Japanese classics to English-speaking audiences.” released an English patch for the game.
On Wednesday, Hilltop posted a short video announcing the release on its YouTube channel Boku no Natsuyasumienglish language patch Hilltop Patch carefully translates over 5,000 lines of in-game text, including its own User interface, menu and element icons. Hilltop provides a download link and instructions for installing the patch in its video description
“After eleven months of work, I’m extremely proud to deliver the long-awaited English patch for one of the most iconic games of all time on the PlayStation 2 console,” Hilltop wrote on their Patreon site. “I would like to thank the rest of the team for helping me produce this translation of the highest quality, without any expense or cutting corners.”
