Denuvo is one of the anti-piracy systems that has gotten the most talk in recent years, though not for good reason. As you probably already know, this program has been indicated to affect the performance of various PC games. now, It was recently revealed that Denuvo is coming Nintendo SwitchWhich has more than one fan worried.
Through its official site, Irdeto, those responsible for Denuvo, revealed that the system, now known as Nintendo Switch Emulator Protection, is already on its way to hybrid consoles and will prevent emulation of titles from a PC. Best of all? It will not affect the performance of the gamesOr at least that is confirmed.
Here’s what it says about it:
“By preventing piracy on Switch and blocking unauthorized emulations on PC, studios can increase their revenue during a game’s launch window, which is the most important time for monetization.”
for now It is unknown if Denuvo’s technology was a request from Nintendo, or if Irdeto was responsible for the initiative.. The only thing that is clear is that developers will have the choice to include this system in their games or not. While the promise of not harming a game’s performance is appealing, let’s not forget the PC precedent, where even some titles had to completely remove this program to be able to function properly.
Relatedly, the size of the switch box will be reduced. Likewise, the Switch remains the best-selling console of the year.
