Cine Gear 2022 features new RED Raptor Hot-Swap Plate on Core SWX. The CXV-TS-VRAP connects to the v-mount of the DSMC3 Raptor so you can attach two V-mount battery packs (full size, mini or micro) to the back of the camera. Unlike some other plates, the all-aluminum build of this plate makes it part of the camera with a solid build. They have added new features to this plate that they have never done before.
Since the Raptor outputs are found on the back of the camera, this hotspot lets you slide the mounting plate on the right side to the correct depth so that the Raptor camera inputs and outputs are not blocked. Then the set screw locks the positioning in place, allowing you to adjust the battery pack to any size. A storage slot with a magnetic hold holds the Allen key for restoration at any time.
Choose between discharging both battery packs at the same time or one and then the other. To draw evenly from both batteries, switch the button to the “II” setting. When the switch is in “I + I” setting, it will first draw power from the battery next to the camera operator and then switch to another. Either way, you can still have a hot-swap battery to keep your camera and accessories running on power. All modes should be changed before the camera starts. When the power is drawn from the plate, the switch becomes inactive.
