Last week saw the premiere of one of Latin America’s most anticipated animated films, Dragon Ball Super: Super Heromade the last film in the franchise Akira Toriyama. And now, a few days after its first broadcast, it has been confirmed that the saga is still one of the most popular in Latin countries.
Through the official account Twitter of Toei Animation Latam, A message was issued that the tape was able to collect $9.4 million in its first weekend in theaters in the region. And while that’s a figure that’s a far cry from the 20.1 million in the US, it’s still a great reception, considering it wasn’t shown in that many theaters.
