Fujifilm Introduces FUJINON XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR Lens

Super-telephoto zoom lens provides premium image quality, lightweight design and outstanding speed

Valhalla, NY, May 31, 2022 – FUJIFILM North America Corporation is pleased to introduce the FUJINON XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR Telephoto Zoom Lens (XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR). Engineered for photographers who rely on extreme zoom capabilities, even in the most challenging photographic situations. From remote wildlife to extensive landscape photography, the XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR is designed to create long-distance images with precision precision.

The lens consists of 24 lens components in 17 groups, including three extra-low scattering (ED) components and four super ED components, to deliver an advanced level of image resolution edge across the entire zoom range.

Covering a 35mm equivalent focal length of 229mm – 914mm, image makers can extend the reach of XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR via FUJIFILM XF1.4X TC WR or FUJIFILM XF2X TC WR teleconverters. The longest focal length of the lens extends to 1200 mm (35 mm equivalent to 1828 mm), closing the instantaneous distance.

Fast autofocus systems, powered by a linear motor, quickly and accurately achieve precise focus, even in super-telephoto ranges, where shallow depth of field can make it difficult to focus.

• The HT-EBC coating, commonly used in broadcast lenses, has been applied to all components of the XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR, achieving high transmittance and low reflectivity despite having 24 lens components.

Rough but lightweight design to reduce user load, enables enhanced shooting in different situations

● The XF150-600mmF5.6-8 R LM OIS WR weighs just 3.5 pounds (1605g)¹ Despite being a super-telephoto zoom it has reached 600mm. Two Super ED components are used to keep the lens barrel small, while maintaining an improved level of image-resolution performance. The use of an internal zoom system means that the lens barrel maintains a constant length in each focal length. This results in a lightweight lens that easily zooms in without any change in weight distribution.

● The body of the lens is made of matte silver so that it can reduce temperature rise even in the most challenging wildlife, nature and landscape photography environments.

Magnesium alloy is used for the inner base frame which supports the structure of the lens to maintain durability, while keeping the weight of the overall lens low.

The lens barrel is weather-sealed at 19 locations for dust and weather resistance and the ability to operate at a temperature of 14 ফার F (-10 সেল C).

Focus limiter allows users to limit the lens AF range. This can effectively shorten the AF time when photographing a subject at 16 feet (5 meters) or more away. The focus control button is conveniently located on the front end of the lens barrel⁴. The Focus Select switch can be used for additional operability of AF and Focus Lock.

3 AF speeds are measured at the edge of the telephoto using the measurement method complying with CIPA guidelines and when phase detection AF is enabled in the FUJIFILM X-T4 mirrorless digital camera and mounted in high efficiency mode. The AF speed at the wide-angle edge under uniform conditions is approx. 0.15 seconds.
