We’re almost at the Game Awards, and despite being an incredibly busy man, show creator and host Geoff Quigley took some time out of his action-packed schedule to give us a final update on how everything’s going.
In his latest video (shared via X), he can be seen on the actual set of this year’s Game Awards. He says it will be a “very special show” that will be streamed on all platforms, including YouTube and Twitch. You can listen to it here on Nintendo Life.
Jeff also noted that many of the games haven’t had teasers released yet, mostly because there’s a lot of “brand new stuff” to reveal, and that his team hopes there won’t be too many leaks so they can surprise viewers.
“Believe me, we have great stuff, we have a lot of world premieres, we have a lot of announcements, we have some great musical performances… Of course we have more surprises in there.” On the music side, we have some great presenters brought in, and we have surprises in there too. “I think it will be a fun night to celebrate our love of video games.”
Jeff reminded people to vote and asked fans to vote in the remaining hours while they still could. You must be logged in to participate in this process Game Awards official website.
“Of course, the awards are a big part of the show and you should vote today because voting closes at 6:00 pm PT. So you have about six hours to cast all of your votes for all of our major categories and player votes. The award is 100% fans. Voted by. Five nominees in this category, please vote for this too. We will announce the winner in this category tomorrow.
On the Nintendo side, there are several nominated games, including The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Bros. Wonder for Switch. See our full guide to where and when to watch Game Awards.
