New exclusive photos from Rozetked.me Get the first impression of the upcoming Google Pixel 9 Pro. Photos of a prototype were sent to the Russian technology portal Rozetked by an anonymous source. They show a revised design with a camera array that no longer runs across the entire width of the back, but is placed in a separate area – similar to Pixel fold.
According to the information, the Pixel 9 Pro will be equipped with a 6.1-inch display. The new Google Tensor G4 chip is said to be working under the hood along with 16 GB of RAM. This means that the Pixel 9 Pro will significantly exceed its predecessor’s memory capacity and will be particularly useful for numerous AI functions. Samsung is named as the manufacturer of the built-in UFS storage, while Micron is said to be providing the RAM.
The camera has three lenses on the back, including a periscope telephoto lens for lossless zoom. A new 5G modem from Samsung may also be used. Apart from enhanced performance and power efficiency, the Exynos Modem 5400 is also intended to enable satellite communications.
In addition to the Pixel 9 Pro, Google is apparently planning two more models: the regular Pixel 9 with a 6.03-inch display and dual cameras, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL with a larger 6.7-inch screen and triple cameras. The latter could be a direct successor to the current Pixel 8 Pro.
An official presentation of the new Pixel generation is expected in October. Google may tease the devices at the I/O developer conference in May. Final technical details should be released later.
