In December 2021, Great Joy announced its first full-frame anamorphic lens, the 60mm T2.9 1.33x anamorphic. Now, the company is back with a new 50mm T2.9 1.8x anamorphic, and we’re on hand to see how it works.
This new Great Joy 50mm T2.9 separates the 1.8x anamorphic lens with a squeeze factor of 1.8x which gives us a more dramatic anamorphic effect than other budget anamorphic lenses, covering a reasonably fast maximum aperture. Full frame sensors, though sometimes with slight cropping for some camera models.
