America’s hero is back! Guile returns to Street Fighter 6 when it launches in 2023 – and brings with it its endless fluctuations. As a U.S. Air Force pilot who fought for his country, Guil managed to break Shadalu and take revenge on his friend Charlie Nash. Although he enjoys a family-man life, a new mission awaits him now.
Guillermo’s move to Street Fighter 6 combines his signature move with the new addition. He is a powerhouse of a character who retains the ability to keep opponents at a distance. Splatters of green and yellow paint cover the stage while using the Guill Drive system, matching the color of its classic look.
Guile’s Sonic Boom and Somersault Kick (Flash Kick) are ready to return to their winners in Street Fighter 6. What would happen to Guille without these, wouldn’t it? The Sonic Boom is Guill’s main projection power and travels across the stage while the Somersault kick moves up an instant which can protect against airborne attacks.
Guiller’s Sonic Blade from Street Fighter V returns as a special move instead of V-Skill and sees him place a fixed aerial slash in front of him. Combined with the Sonic Boom, the Sonic Blade can be turned into a two-hit projectile.
Let’s go over the top three of Guile’s Super Arts, which reflects his journey as one of the most well-known world fighters!
Sonic Hurricane (1 stock) – Introduced in Street Fighter Alpha 3, Guillot fires a huge aerial slash right in front. When used with a heavy punch, Aerial Slash fires diagonally upwards as a good anti-air alternative. A highly versatile move that can be used in combos, as a way to tackle projectiles, or as a way to turn a table during stress.
Solid Puncher (2 stock) – Introduced as Guill’s V-Trigger I on Street Fighter V, Solid Puncher is now a super art. Guill envelops both arms in aerial slashes and enables the use of sonic brakes, where a jolt of the small sonic boom projectile can be released by simply pressing the punch button.
Crossfire Somersault (3 stocks) – A brand new super art, guillotine blows his chest and throws a huge aerial slash that launches an opponent into the air before following a brutal somersault kick.
In the previous games of the series, Guil’s iconic stage was a base on the ground. For Street Fighter 6, wear your life jacket, as its stage now takes place on an aircraft carrier anchored at sea. Complete with mid-flight planes, a multicultural collection of flags, and cheerful spectators, Guiller’s stage has undergone a renovation to match the new era.
That’s when it comes to our Guile coverage – who remains a Chad! Street Fighter 6 is scheduled to land on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 in 2023.
