Like other series, hello It’s a story with endless content that, for some reason or another, we haven’t seen. However, this has changed. As more than 100 GB of never-before-seen material has been leaked from the series over the past 25 yearsIncluding demos that no one got to see.
Yesterday, December 26, 2024, Digsite, a group of modders working with Halo Studios to restore old content from the series, reported a massive leak. Thus, it has been revealed that 100 GB of unreleased content from the series has started circulating on the internet. In addition to conceptual art, we also find remains of discarded layers and, most interestingly, A third-person demo from when Hello was going to be a Mac exclusive
Given this leak, Digsite members indicate that they are not responsible. Here’s what they commented:
“Neither I nor anyone who has recently left Digsite has done this. For reference, however, neither I nor anyone who recently moved can access any of these files, such as the debug DLL. It’s crazy that it happened, but hey, Merry Christmas, folks.
Myself and the rest of the team responsible for Crash Site, E3, Alpha Moon and most of the H1\H2 content resign. [porque] It was clear to us [la demostración de E3 2003] “It was more successful than Microsoft expected, and they wanted us to deliver another release at that level, still unpaid and without assets.”
The situation goes beyond the leak, Since members of DigSight have revealed that they have stopped working with Halo StudiosBecause the studio doesn’t plan to pay them for their work. Thus, it seems that the only recovery plan that succeeded was his demo Hello 2 That will come free Hello: The Master Chief Collection in the future
At this point there is no response from Xbox or Halo Studios regarding the massive leak of the series. However, considering that most of these elements relate to Bungie’s work and unfinished items, They probably won’t do much to stop the flow of information, though. Which will speak volumes in the days to come. In related matters, a Halo battle royale was in development. Likewise, you can learn more about the restored Halo 2 levels here.
Author’s Note:
It is karma. If Halo Studios doesn’t plan to pay this team for their hard work restoring content, it looks like it will now be up to the general public to do that and more. It will be interesting to see if a playable version of the Mac demo becomes available in the future.
