It looks like Google’s upcoming Pixel 8a can’t stop leaking. After some alleged live images of it surfaced a few days ago, a new leak has surfaced today that shows us all four colors that will be available.
They will be called obsidian (black), porcelain (white), bay (blue) and mint (very subjective descriptions). We’ve seen all this with other Pixel devices – the Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro come in Mint, while the latter also has a Bay version.
The source of this leak claims that the Pixel 8a will finally be officially unveiled at Google I/O on May 14th. So we still have over a month to go, which means more leaks are likely on the way.
The overall design of the Pixel 8a is similar to the Pixel 8 and will have a matte texture on the back. The 8a is expected to feature a 6.1-inch FHD+ 90Hz display, with Google’s own Tensor G3 SoC ruling the roost. The Pixel 8a is said to have a 4,500 mAh battery, a 64-megapixel main camera on the back, and a 13-megapixel ultrawide camera.
Recently there were rumors that the Pixel 8a will launch at a higher price than its predecessor, and that it will definitely be offered by Google Fi Wireless in the US – in fact, Google’s carrier leaked the Pixel 8a itself last week.
