At IFA 2023, Honor confirmed that the Honor Magic V2 will be released globally. It is one of the slimmest foldable devices on the market today. The manufacturer has now confirmed when the device will be available in stores.
In mid-July 2023, Honor officially introduced the Magic V2 for the Chinese market in Beijing. Finally, Honor officially announced the foldable for the European market at IFA 2023. Honor advertises the Magic V2 as the thinnest foldable currently available in the market. With a thickness of 9.9mm, it is significantly thinner than the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 (review).
Available from 26th January
Honor Magic V2 will be available from… 26 January 2024 Available in Germany and 1.999 euros Cost, making it about 400 euros more expensive than its predecessor. A matching 66 watt charger is also available for just €1. Until February 29, buyers will get the Honor Watch 4 and a carbon-look case for free A free screen replacement is also offered within the first 12 months.
Thin foldable with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2
Work is going on inside Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which is supported by 16 GB LPDDR5X RAM. The manufacturer installs 256, 512 or 1,024 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. The hardware is powered by a silicon carbon battery that has a capacity of 5,000 mAh despite the compact size of the device. The external OLED display measures 6.43 inches, has a FullHD+ resolution and offers a 120 Hz refresh rate. Inside is a foldable 7.92-inch OLED panel. The latter offers a QHD resolution, 120 Hz and native pen support.
Triple camera with 50 MP main sensor
Installed one behind the hon Triple-camera-setup, whose main camera resolution is 50 MP. The sensor has an f/1.9 aperture, optical image stabilization and laser autofocus. There is also a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera with OIS and a third sensor. It’s a telephoto lens with 2.5x zoom and 20 MP.
