How to enable and configure gyroscope on Apex Legends Mobile

Apex Legends Mobile is officially out, and, like other popular mobile shooters, it comes with gyroscope support. The function remains inactive by default, but it does not take long to activate. Apex Legends Mobile also has some configuration options that can be tuned to your liking. We have to go over that and more.

The gyroscope function lets you move your reticle around the screen by removing your phone instead of swiping with your finger. It is useful for various reasons. This can make the goal much easier. For example, you can increase your sensitivity when you use your finger so that you can rotate too fast and then use the gyroscope for more granular targets because your sensitivity will be too high otherwise.

It does not affect your ability to move with your fingers. The left joystick still carries you forward, backward, and sideways. Swiping to the right still rotates your camera as usual. It also gives you the ability to turn the camera on or off by turning your phone. Think of it as the second right joystick.

During testing, we have had the best success with only enabling the gyroscope with ADS because it can get in trouble with you during battle when you are not used to it.

How to enable and disable gyroscope on Apex Legends Mobile

It’s a fairly simple matter to turn on and off.

Enable gyroscope

• On the main screen, open Settings.
• Once there, navigate Sensitivity. Finally, tap Gyroscope Tab in the upper left corner.
• The first option is to let you enable the feature.
• You have two options. You can enable During ADS Which only enables it when noticing sights. Alternatively, Always Lets you enable it all the time.

Disable gyroscope

• Repeat the steps above, without selecting Off Option in gyroscope settings.

How to configure gyroscope on Apex Legends Mobile

There are some different settings you can try here. Navigate to the gyroscope settings using the steps above and we’ll see what each option does.

• Inverted horizontal control It reverses the motion on the X-axis. Tilting to the left will move your camera to the right and vice versa.
• Inverted vertical control – Same as horizontal, but flips Y-axis instead of X-axis.
• Gyroscope overall sensitivity scale – This is a baseline sensitivity setting. The higher the number, the more camera movement you will feel with a small tilt.
• Gyroscope Vertical Sensitivity Scale – This is equal to the overall sensitivity, but it only affects the Y-axis (up and down).
• Linked sensitivity compatibility – Each of the following sensitivity settings has two different settings, one for targeting and one for shooting. Linked sensitivity compatibility binds both together, so adjusting one status adjusts the other at the same time.
• FPP without ADS – Adjusts sensitivity in first-person mode regardless of sights
• TPP without ADS – Adjusts sensitivity in third-person mode when not targeting sights.
• 1x-10x optic ADS – To save some space here, there are ADS combinations for 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 6x, 8x, and 10x zoom that are different from each other. Everyone adjusts the sensitivity of the gyroscope when aiming at sights with specific weapons for that zoom.

For the most part, these settings are personal. Some people may do better with high sensitivity, others may need something less sensitive. The game defaults to high sensitivity at low zoom and low sensitivity at high zoom. This is not a bad idea because you will want more subtle synchronization with a sniper than an SMG.
