Is Visual ID always on?

How to set up Visual ID in Echo Show 15
Amazon’s new Echo Show 15 is still its largest smart home digital assistant with a screen. After you enroll in Visual ID, you’ll see the option to add a selfie photo to create your own avatar. Just select the pencil icon and allow the camera to take a quick picture. Scary!
Can I enroll a child in Visual ID?
You can even add your children to Visual ID if you want. Kids will be linked to an Amazon Kids profile and only age-appropriate content will be served to them if your child is recognized.
How do I delete Visual ID?
If you no longer wish to participate in the Visual ID program (or maybe you are selling or providing your device), it is quite easy to delete your Visual ID. In Echo Show 15, swipe down from the top of the screen:
