Transferring WhatsApp messages from an Android device to an iPhone was an annoying hassle. But the important phrase is “to get used to”. After years of patient waiting, WhatsApp finally offers an official way to transfer your conversations from an Android phone to an iPhone.
Although WhatsApp offers cloud backups for conversations, these backups are connected to a specific operating system. If you do a cloud backup on Google Drive on your Android phone, you will only be able to access those backups on another Android device. And if you do a WhatsApp backup on your iPhone via iCloud, you can only restore that backup from another iPhone.
But what happens when you want to take a WhatsApp conversation from an Android phone to an iPhone? While this may seem impossible, WhatsApp has made the whole process surprisingly easy. All you need is your two phones and a little patience.
