(Pocket-Lint) – Twitter has announced a new feature: the ability to turn captions on or off its video player. This is an important accessibility feature that allows the hearing-impaired community to easily watch videos on Twitter.
How to turn closed captions on Twitter
In June 2022, Twitter announced that, after two months of testing, it had launched a closed caption button that allowed its users to toggle captions while watching videos on the platform.
If a caption is available on a video, the CC button is shown in the top corner
No video captions or captioning, now easy for anyone to choose from on iOS and soon on Android.

You will need an attached caption file to surface video captions It would be amazing if Twitter could offer this widely as well as an automated caption system – something that YouTube has long offered. Still, it’s a step in the right direction, and something that even hearing-impaired and honestly listening users will certainly welcome.
