It’s official that Super Bowl LVIII has arrived in space.
Two NASA astronauts have apparently tossed an old pigskin around the International Space Station in preparation for the big showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers today (Feb. 11) in Las Vegas.

“Get some replays before Super Bowl Sunday.” NASA wrote in X (Previous Twitter) February 10 Expedition 70 astronauts Yasmin Mogbeli and Loral O’Hara share a short video of themselves throwing a soccer ball to the station.

O’Hara joked that new Kansas City Chiefs fans are “getting up to speed” with Swift’s newfound interest in the game, as they recently started watching football. Mogbeli also held her hand in a heart shape, which Swift has been doing on stage since her 2009-2010 “Fearless” tour. (The National Football League also used the heart emoji in some ads, as a little Easter egg for Swift.)
Swift’s music has entered space at least once aboard the CubeSat launched in 2018 by a group of teenagers from Idaho. UPI SAGAR. NASA has had Super Bowl encounters before.
