At the event Leica’s $ 20,000 ‘Titan’ camera kit wasn’t enough to meet your need for an ultra-expensive camera, don’t panic. Leica has announced that it is working with Thai Beverages to release a limited edition gold Leica M10-P camera to celebrate the coronation of King Maga Vajiralankarn. Each kit will cost around $ 50,000.
The limited-edition kit comes in two variations. The first kit includes an M10-P, an APO Summicron 50mm F2 ASPH and a Summilux 35mm F1.4 ASPH lens, all of which are gold plated, M10-P features a yellow crocodile skin wrap. The second kit features M10-P with green crocodile skin and only comes with the APO Summicron 50mm F2 ASPH lens. Above both models will be engraved a royal Thai symbol, the serial number and serial number of which will be engraved on Hotshu Mount.
According to the Photography Daily theme, 10 units of the yellow kit will be available and 20 units of the green kit will be available for approximately $ 50,000 and $ 30,000, respectively. This will turn these kits into some expensive limited-edition versions published by Leica.
Both kits will come in a luxurious wooden box that will be locked with a key and has a royal Thai inscription engraved on top. Inside, the camera and lens (s) will be securely placed inside a suede-like component to keep it safe. Thapana Sirivadhanbhakdi, President and CEO of Thai Beverages, Dr. Andreas Kaufman, Chairman of Leica Camera AG, and Matthias Hersh, CEO of Leica Camera AG all come with a hand signed certificate of authenticity.
