On July 1, players can enter a new era of Formula 1 in the official video game EA Sports F1 22 at the 2022 FIA Formula One World Championships. Featuring a fantastic new sports car, the F1 22 offers a new handling model that recreates the intense head-to-head racing that has kept us in suspense so far in the 2022 Formula 1 season.
Players can also test their driving skills in Florida palm trees around 19 tough new Miami International autodromes and go full throttle with an F1 sprint for the first time in the game. New racing options give players more control over their virtual racing days, including the ability to choose from immersive broadcast-style formation laps, safety cars and pit stop periods. Experience the style and glitz of Formula 1 at F1 Life, a new place to unlock to show off the world of supercars, clothing, accessories and more.
The main innovations of the PS5 controller in F1 22 are haptic feedback and adaptive triggers. Learn more about some of the PS5 features below.
Response aptico
Through the haptic feedback of the PS5 DualSense controller, collision and surface sensitivity have been greatly improved. It is able to communicate with individual pieces of surface debris and now presents the car in a more submerged way in a certain part of the circuit. In addition, the sensation can be localized right or left. A good example is when the left wheels of the player’s car rotate aggressively on a curb and the reaction is felt on the left side of the controller, increasing realism.
Dualsense controller speakers
With the help of the PS5 DualSense controller’s speaker, players can hear the race engineer talking to him during a session, give him important information and track data on the way to the pole position or the most important podium. Listen to important HUD information through the controller’s speakers, leaving the original audio mix clear and uncluttered, just like a ride should.
Adaptive trigger
For the PS5, adaptive triggers are used by linking the drag load directly to the tire grip. Because your car is ‘tough’ when braking, the amount of resistance is increased by the brake trigger, creating a more submerged bond with the car. Similarly, when the tire spins, the throttle trigger resistance increases. A slight difference was also applied to the basic resistance of the throttle and brake trigger to mimic the pressure difference required to push the brake pedal versus the accelerator pedal in a real F1 vehicle.
