This was created by SNES (and especially Mario Kart) hacker MrL314, and what I absolutely love about it isn’t the uncomfortable awfulness of the angles, but that no compromises are made to show where the player is. All you have to do is (in this case) Mario and hope for the best (which explains why the AI drivers are silent about it, when with each new cut you can see Mario gliding along happily as if it were an icy route ).
