Widespread influence A legendary story Bioware Which are remembered by many, especially for their first two releases which are considered masterpieces of the art. However, the third part was not well liked by critics or fans and it is now known that at least the screenplay could have been completely different.
This statement was made by one of the game’s writers, Drew Karpishin, Through a question and answer session which is none other than the forum Reddit. Confirming that there is going to be some kind of sacrifice with the Galaxy Reapers, but this ending could ruin a potential sequel with the same cast of characters.
Comment here Karpishin:
We plan some very simple ideas. Basically, they were based on the fact that you had to attract reapers and then explode the entire network and eliminate it. But it would also destroy and damage the base, so all the galactic communities would be isolated from each other. We had to work out those details and it would be a problem if we took the option with making another game in the future.
With this statement, we now know that Widespread influence It could have had a slightly more memorable ending, but due to the scripting, the change implemented at the end is logical. However, some sort of alternate ending to the story would have been appreciated and included as an excuse that the canon option was one where there were no sacrifices.
Note that the trilogy is available in its remastered version PS4, Xbox One and PC.
