Motorola has launched a new entry-level smartphone that starts at around $150. This is the Moto G Play (2023). A highlight this year is a 90 Hz fast 6.5-inch HD display on the front, but interested buyers will still have to do without 5G.
Under the hood is a 5,000 mAh battery that can be charged via USB-C. So despite the lower price limit, you are already in compliance with the new EU law. MediaTek’s Helio G37 processor is paired with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. It is sufficient for low demand.
A fingerprint sensor, protection against water, space for a microSD memory card and a triple main camera complete the budget Android package. It will likely be available in stores next year.
