One of the hallmarks of the PlayStation 5 generation is the large number of hardware variations. Thus, Sony wants to continue this trend, and expand its catalog Midnight Black Collection with new colors for accessories like PlayStation Portal DualSense Edge.
Via its official blog, PlayStation revealed that PlayStation Portal, DualSense Edge, Pulse Elite and Pulse Explore will be joining the Midnight Black collection. Thus, all users will have the opportunity to buy one of these accessories in black color. All these products will go on sale from February 20, 2025Although the pre-sale will start on January 16, 2025. PlayStation commented on this:
“Each Midnight Black accessory features a unique, deep black hue, with stylish accents on various buttons and details like the PlayStation logo. The midnight black design extends to the included charging case for the Pulse Explore earbuds, the charging stand for the Pulse Elite earbuds, and the carrying case for the DualSense Edge Controller. “Pulse Elite Wireless Headphones and Pulse Explore Wireless Headphones will include a gray felt carrying case.”

- Pulse Explore – Midnight Black: $199.99
- Pulse Elite – Midnight Black: $149.99
- DualSense Edge – Midnight Black: $199.99.
right now, The Midnight Black Collection already offers a DualSense and Plate for PlayStation 5, So these new additions will make those who want black accessories more than happy. It will be interesting to see if more collections expand this way. On a related note, PlayStation is happy with PlayStation Portal sales. Likewise, it’s the new PS5 Pro tech.
