Xiaomi has been shortening the list of supported Android smartphones since recent years.
Seven years of updates are brand new and so far only available on Samsung and Google. Xiaomi hasn’t gotten that far yet, and it certainly wasn’t a few years ago. That’s why the dreaded EOL list is being expanded to include some devices that aren’t actually old. Android phones available globally are also included.
The flagship models of the “then” were especially hard hit because they were expensive. Unfortunately, the two flagship models Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have ended up on Xiaomi’s EOL list with updates from July 25, 2024. But the global version of Redmi Note 10 Pro will also be available now here There are significantly more devices (Redmi Note 10, Mi 11 Lite, etc.), but they are still not making an impact on the global market.
