Octopath Traveler II with release date Xbox and Game Pass todaySquare Enix has released a new update for the RPG game.
This gives you access to a new mode called “Extra Battle” which becomes available after you defeat the final boss of the game. This includes the ability to test your skills against tougher opponents than in the original game, including the first Octopath Traveler staff.

Additionally, a new bundle is available for purchase that includes Octopath Traveler and Octopath Traveler II. You can watch the trailer at the top of this page. Of course, you can still buy the games individually. The original game was released today on PlayStation 5 and 4, with Square Enix also noting that the same game has now sold over four million copies worldwide.
Octopath Traveler II debuted on the Switch in February of last year, and our review noted that it’s a “confident and triumphant successor to its predecessor,” giving it nine out of ten stars.
