45 inch big screen with 800R
In the run-up to IFA, LG has announced a new gaming monitor. The UltraGear 45GR95QE comes with an OLED screen and ultrawide format. You can find the exact specifications below.
The newest addition to LG’s Ultragear series doesn’t rely on VA or IPS technology, but OLED. It indirectly measures pride 45 inches (1.14 m) and in ultrawide format 21:9 Held. The screen has a curvature of 800R so you can keep an eye on everything on your desk despite the relatively large monitor size. The UltraGear 45GR95QE represents that The 800R was one of the first monitors with curvature but
AUO first showed the corresponding models in 2021, but so far the 1000R remains the strongest curvature radius on the market. The lower the number, the greater the curvature: 800R means the radius of curvature is 800 millimeters. The outer part of the screen is thus within the peripheral field of vision.
UWQHD and 240 Hz
While one might guess a UHD resolution by looking at the screen diagonal, the LG monitor offers it 3.440 × 1.440 pixels, such as UWQHD. Incidentally, this is LG’s first OLED display 240 hertz. It is advertised with a gray-to-gray latency of 0.1 milliseconds The press release also specifies 98.5 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, and the monitor also comes with HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4. Due to the large screen, it should be suitable not only for gaming but also for multitasking.
The LG UltraGear 45GR95QE will be on display at the LG stand in Hall 18 at IFA alongside the 48-inch UltraGear 48GQ900. The latter is flat and offers 120 hertz and UHD resolution. It’s currently unknown when and at what price the strongly curved 45-inch model will launch. Similarly, there is no official brightness specification yet. However, it’s likely the same OLED panel will be used as the recently announced Corsair Xeneon Flex 45WQHD240, which can achieve up to 1,000 nits. The Corsair model can switch between a flat screen and 800R curvature at the touch of a button. LG has already shown two prototypes with such technology.
