Netflix doesn’t have the best track record for live action anime adaptations. from Letters written before death, beyond Cowboy Bebopand in the future My Hero Academia. This makes many fans afraid of what is being done a piece Disappointment at last. however, The mangaka responsible for Luffy’s company has good news about it.
During a special panel at Jump Festa 2023 last weekend, Eiichiro Oda, creator of a piece, revealed that he had already seen parts of what Netflix was doing with his work, and has indicated that he has high expectations for the matter. This is what he commented:
“Hollywood’s One Piece live-action series is underway. For now we have the base footage from Season 1. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, but if I’m honest, the most worried person in the world is that it’s going right, haha… but actually it looks amazing! “
