Oppo is probably following the new trend and finally rolling out the curved display.
The trend continues and other smartphone manufacturers are likely turning away from the curved displays of recent years. What is implied is the strong bend, usually towards the elongated side of modern smartphone screens, which has been essential for some time. This very useful feature is now outdated.
For some time, strongly curved displays had an advantage because they made it easier to use devices with very large displays. And they wanted to insist on installing an OLED display, which has long been standard on all manufacturers’ flagship smartphones. Today the edges of the screen are very thin.
Now we’re hearing about next generation Oppo prototypes that don’t have curved displays. The Chinese may also use a flat display, starting with the Find X8. Then there is only a small bend on the outer protective glass to ensure a soft feel.
Xiaomi, Samsung, Google and Apple however, no longer have or had curved displays. So it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the manufacturers follow suit.
