New content full season
Overwatch will continue to evolve and expand with regular seasonal content published every nine weeks. And, starting in 2023, we will begin to learn more about the world of overwatch and the heroes living with new storytelling experiences and PvE game system updates.
With the new Battle Pass system, you can unlock themed cosmetic items and complete weekly challenges with special rewards. Instead of relying on the fate of the loot box, you can choose how you want to invest and move on to new content each season.
With Cross-Advance Active, all your unlocked items, progress and credit will be seamlessly taken to the platform you are currently playing on.
Take the struggle to a new destination
Overwatch 2 will be a real trip around the world. Toronto, New York, Rome and Monte Carlo will come to the game on October 4th with two brand new maps.
Fight on the streets of Rio, the hometown of Brazil’s iconic city and everyone’s favorite DJ Lucio. And Travel to Portugal, a new push map that transports players to another vibrant and inspiring environment to experience a new game mode. Overwatch 2 will regularly release new maps so that there will always be a new place to fight.
Competitive 2.0
Along with the cosmetic update, Overwatch 2 will also come with a reworked competitive game mode.
A redesigned scoreboard system will provide players with more detailed information during the match as well as post-action post-match reporting.
Skills rankings will no longer be updated immediately after each match, but will be evaluated after every seven wins. And instead of a number-based skills ranking, each skill level will have five sub-levels from highest to lowest.
Are you looking for glory? Stay tuned for more details on Competitive 2.0.
