Panasonic GH6 Ver.2.0 firmware will be released on July 5 - Newshooter

Panasonic has announced that Ver.2.0 firmware for GH6 Will be released on July 5th.

Panasonic has worked closely with Atomos so that the new GH6 firmware will enable 5.8K / 29.97p and 4K DCI / 119.88p RAW video data output over HDMI that can be recorded on Atomos NINJA V and NINJA as Apple ProRes RAW V +.

Can be recorded on Apple ProRes RAW ATOMOS NINJA V / V +.

A LUT (lookup table) designed for RAW video recorded on NINJA V / V + is available at Customer support website. Panasonic claims that this will make it easier to match colors between footage recorded with the Panasonic Varicam and EVA1 cameras.

4K DCI 60p / FHD 60p internal recording in ProRes 422 HQ / ProRes 422

With this new update, ProRes 422 HQ / ProRes 422 will be able to shoot up to 60p in 4K DCI or FHH internally.
