Android 13 Recently available for Pixel smartphones and thus the latest Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro models. But the software is still not error-free. Even in the final versions of the operating system and interface, minor bugs are often found, but this is one important thing: the battery. What users report on social mediaJust makes us shake our heads.
“I expected better from Google”
“After installing Android 13 battery life is terrible, I have to charge my phone 3-4 times a day,” wrote one Pixel 6 user. “What did you guys do with the final Android 13 release? My Pixel 6 Pro’s battery was great in the last beta, but terrible in the “stable” version. I don’t have any malicious apps, but the phone is sluggish and the cellular network is using a lot of battery. I expect better from Google,” another frustrated user expressed his anger.
The user had to charge the Pixel 6 thrice in a day
These are not isolated cases: “Can you fix the battery life? Updated to Android 13 yesterday and already had to charge my Pixel 6 3 times today 😳.” Of course, these reviews cannot be verified from here, but there is no reason to doubt that this is a clear software problem. The fact that the news is appearing now after the release of the supposedly stable Android 13 version for the operating system Pixel 6 (Pro) is a sign that it is actually related.
Our experience: Danny also feels that he needs to load his Pixel 6 Pro with the ultimate software. However, he doesn’t have the obvious problems others are now reporting.
Google responds, but…
At least Google’s support team is responding to complaints, though of course not everyone can be satisfied with the answer. Instead of acknowledging the problem and saying they are working on a solution, a Help article Attached. It offers various tips on how to reduce power consumption, such as identifying apps with high energy consumption, restarting the smartphone or – ironically – checking for updates for the system and installed apps.
However: it’s bad enough that the battery drains faster than it should – but the charging process doesn’t go smoothly either.
