Trainers can encounter a variety of Pokémon in Pokémon GO – whether it’s a giant Snorlax or a tiny Eevee. Thanks to new showcases, players can now present their very special copies to the public.
Showcase is a new form of competition in Pokemon GO. These Pokemon compete against each other at select PokéStops. The selection of Pokemon that can participate in the PokéStop Showcase and the Pokemon’s relevant features will change in conjunction with current events.
The first PokéStop showcase will be held during the seventh anniversary event From Pokemon GO Instead. Here, trainers can compete with Squirtle at select PokéStops to gauge whose Pokémon is the biggest. An icon will appear above PokéStops to indicate if a showcase is taking place. The showcase only runs for a short time. Once a showcase is over, all participants will receive rewards based on their Pokemon’s rank. There is also a medal for first place.
