Razer is kicking off the new year by refreshing its Blade 14, Blade 16, and Blade 18 lineup with all-new configurations. Due to the unique AMD+Nvidia design of the Blade 14 series, the 2024 Blade 14 won’t get the Raptor Lake Intel CPU or fancy new display options that the 2024 Blade 16 and Blade 18 models will enjoy. Instead, the 14-inch Zen 4 is based on the Ryzen 9 8945HS CPU, which replaces the Ryzen 9 7940HS in the 2023 model.
The latest AMD CPU promises accelerated AI that will help applications that support generative AI tasks like DaVinci Resolve or Photoshop. Otherwise, the raw computing power of the integrated Radeon 780M CPU and GPU is expected to be roughly equivalent to the older Ryzen 9 7940HS.
Everything else about the 2024 Blade 14 remains unchanged, with the choice of GeForce RTX 4070 GPU, chassis design and display options up to 240Hz 1600p IPS. That’s not necessarily a bad thing, as the Blade 14 was one of the smoothest and most powerful 14-inch gaming laptops on the market last year, but users who were waiting for a more significant GPU upgrade to benefit from the 2024 changes may be disappointed.
The new Blade 14 will be available on January 23rd for a starting price of $2,200 for the RTX 4060 configuration, the same as the Blade 14 from 2023. It is expected to be available in both Mercury White and Black colors, nothing is known yet about the pink option.

After earning my bachelor’s degree in Environmental Hydrodynamics from UCLA, I studied reactor physics to obtain a license from the US NRC to operate nuclear reactors. There is an amazing level of appreciation for everyday consumer electronics after working with modern nuclear reaction systems that work wonderfully with computers since the 1980s.
