Over the past year we’ve heard multiple reports and rumors about what Nintendo Switch 2. While there is no official confirmation of this information yet, The Verge has contacted an insider responsible for these details and Who now seem to have reconfirmed the console name, the new Joy-Con, and even the dock design.
Recently, The Verge caught up with NextHandheld, who shared information about the Switch 2, who shared a series with the medium, which would confirm some big rumors about the next Nintendo console. Here we talk about two photos of the possible base for the console and one of the possible inside rails for the Joy-ConWhere you can see a U-shaped metal support.
The base features the same logo as the Nintendo Switch, but with a 2, Which apparently confirms that Switch 2 will be the official name. For its part, the image of the rails confirms that the Joy-Con will attach magnetically to the console, and NextHandheld claims there’s a physical magnetic click when they connect. To release them, a large button will be used, as the debrand leaks have already indicated
Likewise, it is confirmed that the Joy-Con will have a magnetic hall effect joystick, something that avoids the drift that affects current consoles. Finally, NextHandheld says that The Switch 2 will launch in dark gray, followed by a white version and a model based on a Nintendo game that has yet to receive a themed console.And the console is expected to be released next January.
for now, Nintendo has neither confirmed nor denied this informationSo we have to wait, if all reports are to be believed, till January to get the official details. In related matters, more Joy-Con leaks emerge. Likewise, the Switch 2 will outsell it in its first year.
