Already enjoyed by over 100,000 villagers on Steam, Roots of Pacha will be released on consoles with the same features and cross-platform multiplayer as the Steam version. Soda Den continues to work on updates to 2024 and beyond with the goal of maintaining functionality between the console and PC versions.
As a member of the Pacha clan, which is growing into adulthood, you will help the clan move forward into the future. Collect resources and discover inventions to create a civilization that will lead the way for humanity and peacefully coexist not only with the plants and animals of the Stone Age, but also with other groups of the world called “land”.
Pick up a hand ax – but only as a tool, since Soda Den deliberately designed Roots of Pacha to be a non-violent experience – and create tools for group improvement, including community composters, pickles and cheesecloth. Create new tools to advance civilization, such as leaf shears, whistles, and milking machines. Research different plants to develop the knowledge needed to make the most of each plant’s characteristics for wildlife, fish for food, and more.
Explore the depths of the caves and the vast landscape to find new resources. Use what you get to propel civilization toward monumental “ideas” like irrigation, animal husbandry, and refrigeration to enable life-changing processes for all decomposition and neighboring communities.
Up to four spawns can play together and explore wild forests, mysterious caves, hot savannahs, beaches and more – all offering unique resources that can be collected and shaped into advanced equipment to build a thriving civilization. Experience a guided RPG-like story with overworld cutscenes that engage players, as well as single-player cutscenes that impact the world for everyone.

Roots of Pacha version 1.1 will be released on Tuesday, November 28th via PC steam and simultaneously on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 and 5 for $24.99 / €22.99 / £19.99. The game supports English, French, German, Portuguese – Brazilian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Spanish and Japanese languages. Xbox One and Series X|S versions are planned for a later date
