The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra is probably just weeks away from its launch and new information has been surfacing for the past few days. Details of the technical equipment were recently leaked by an authority and images were added later.
now have A new messageThat needs our attention. Apparently, Samsung has radically cut megapixels from a sensor. And not just one, the selfie camera. Instead of 40 MP, there’s only 12 MP smiling at you, as all models in the S23 series are apparently equipped with the same front camera. But is it really a bad thing?
40 to 12 MP
Finally, photos with even lower resolutions are available before 40 MP. As with sensors larger than 12MP, several pixels are combined using pixel binning, effectively resulting in a 10MP image. So users have not really lost anything. Also, it can’t do any harm with selfies if every last pore isn’t recorded.
However, the fact that Samsung has said goodbye to higher resolution for the front camera seems particularly odd as the main rear camera boasts a decent number of megapixels. The camera is said to offer 200MP, but that’s put back into perspective thanks to 16-in-1 pixel binning.
