Samsung has been following a two-pronged strategy for years; Galaxy S smartphones were never available in Europe with Qualcomm chips. That should be different next year, which Qualcomm has already hinted at and has now finally confirmed.

The first benchmark results are appearing, which confirm for the European Galaxy S23 model that Samsung will integrate Snapdragon instead of Exynos in the future. In terms of system performance and battery, it should be fine.

Snapdragon 8 Gen2: The processor of choice for the entire Galaxy S23 series

In fact, Exynos chips of the past few years have often not had a particularly good reputation. Samsung didn’t use Exynos in other markets, but Snapdragon, so there was always a direct comparison. Samsung chips have often lost it.

We are now delighted that European Samsung customers will also have the best Snapdragon processors in the future, starting with the Galaxy S23 series. Whether most buyers will even notice it is another matter.
