Samsung still has many innovations in OneUI 6.1 that can be discovered.
A lot has gone well with VoLTE and WiFi calls, but the crystal-clear calls of the Pixel series make phone calls even better. You can hear people better during calls because background noise is filtered out. Samsung was probably inspired by this and is now introducing a comparable innovation for its own Galaxy series with OneUI 6.1.
However, Samsung seems to be limiting itself to the caller who uses the respective Galaxy phone and has activated the function. With “Voice Focus” voice is highlighted and background noise is removed to better understand the person you are talking to. It’s only one-sided, but definitely helpful.
The Google function on the Pixel device ensures better sound for the person you are talking to and even affects the music stuck on the hotline as it sounds too consistent and is therefore labeled as background noise. Let’s see if Samsung improves its own function at some point and filters both participants in the conversation.
