Samsung wants to bring a lot of AI features to the Galaxy series of 2023 smartphones, maybe all of them.
While the hardware hasn’t been touched much, Samsung has made a lot of progress on the software front. The current Galaxy flagships of the S24 series have a lot of AI extensions on board, in several apps and useful places. Will older models also benefit from this?
In the past few months it has become clear that Samsung has said that they will try to bring AI functions to at least as many older models as possible. It has always been said that the hardware performance of the devices should be the deciding factor.
Anyone who has paid a lot of money should not be held back
Well-informed insiders can now report ahead of the update rollout that Samsung actually wants to bring all the AI functions from the Galaxy S24 series to the Galaxy S23 series as well as the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Fold 5, which would be big news indeed. These updates will likely be delivered from April 2024.
In general, this news is not surprising, because the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset of the 2023 flagship is very powerful. Only the Galaxy S23 FE lacks this chipset, but the model should still benefit from AI innovation.
