Samsung will almost double its update guarantee, with early leaks.
The best news for smartphone customers now comes from Samsung, as the South Korean manufacturer will significantly improve its update guarantee. A lot more information has been leaked about the new Galaxy S24 smartphone and it also includes new update guarantees.
We remember: Samsung is the first Android manufacturer to offer a four-year warranty and indeed across all price ranges. Google then followed suit last fall with the Pixel 8 series and introduced a 7-year warranty. Now it’s Samsung’s turn.
Ahead of the launch of the new smartphone it has now been leaked that Samsung is also planning a 7-year update guarantee. It is not yet known if this only applies to security updates, but we can expect a full guarantee and therefore more likely to include Android updates.
The most important details are still pending. However, we wouldn’t be surprised if Samsung really does the same thing as Google. At least with the top models, which only start at 900 euros.
