Sharp unveiled its first e-bike at IFA 2023. The so-called Sharp Milano is made for city use and has a vintage look. You can read more about this below.
Apart from e-scooters, Sharp’s mobility portfolio will soon include e-bikes. At IFA 2023, the nearly 111-year-old company is showing off some e-bike prototypes, and one model is set to debut in Germany soon: the Sharp Milano (BK-RS08E).
It’s with one 250 watts Powerful electric motor that sits on the rear wheel. There is one for that Belt drive Gates to Carbon Belt and a 21 inch aluminum frame. The battery installed in the tube offers a Range up to 80 km. According to local laws, pedelecs support up to 25 kilometers per hour and five levels of support are provided.
Additionally, Sharp has a Color LCD display on the handlebars Integrated, which shows speed and support levels. The company hasn’t given any other specifications, but the bike should be able to integrate into the Sharp Life app, which includes battery information, driving data and a digital lock with motion alarms.
Q4 market launch from 2,499 euros
In the fourth quarter of 2023, the Sharp Milano will be available in matte black for 2,499 euros or silver for 2,599 euros. The price seems relatively high considering the equipment. A closer look at the booth also reveals the silver variant Just like VanPower’s City Venture. We already tried the latter in May and recently the City Venture (read the article) was on offer for around 1,034 euros. However, the VanPower model must be assembled entirely by yourself. It is currently not possible to say whether this is also the case for sharp matching.
